Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteerism and support from the business community make Western Welcome Week a success year after year. Become a volunteer—just complete and send the Volunteer Form (currently being updated for 2009) to Western Welcome Week. The following events have volunteer opportunities available:

Thursday, August 7 WWW Silent Auction (part of the Taste of WWW)

Auction tables monitors, assist with closing of silent auction 5-7pm or

Friday, August 8 Lion's Community BBQ
Sterne Park
Set up, servers 4:30-7:30pm
Saturday, August 9 Stampede for Open Space!
Carson Nature Center,
South Platte Park
Monitor trail for bicycles, assist with parking 9-11am or 
10:30am-12:30pm
Saturday, August 9 Stampede for Open Space!

Deliver water and goodies to volunteers 10:30am-12:30pm

Set up, serve, wait tables, flip pancakes, sausage cookers, clean up  6:309:30am or

Sunday, August 10 Old Fashioned Cake Contest

Set up, tabulate votes, cut and serve cake, clean up 7:30-9:30am or

Hole monitors, prize table set up/monitoring 7:45-9:15am or

Saturday, August 16 49th Arts & Crafts Festival
Downtown Littleton
Block Captains: general information, assistance to crafters, direct to booth space, etc.
Crafter set-up
5-8:30am;
Crafter tear-down
4:30-6pm 
Crafter Hospitality: donut/coffee distribution in the morning, cookie/water distribution in the afternoon
8-10am or
1-4pm  
Saturday, August 16 Festival Day Information/Hospitality Tent
Downtown Littleton
Serve as hosts, information, logistics 8-10am or

Sunday, August 17 The Cannibal Run 5k/10k & Fun Walk
Riverfront Event Center
Assist with race registration 7am
Finish Line – assist with managing runners, taking score cards, etc. 8:30-10am or
